Children in Accidents (Table)

The table shows the number of kids killed in road accidents from research in a 3-month period in 2004. They divided into five age groups and five accidents places. Most accidents occurred with children from 5-7 years old because playing in the street.

The highest number of accidents was playing in the street with 214 out of a total of 370. The most children killed in this type of accidents were aged from 2 to 7. In contrast, children aged between 15 and16 were less died by this way. Shopping for parents came next with 52 accidents. The highest age group for that was from 5-7. Cycling accounted the most accidents amongst children between 5 and 13. Going to school and coming from school were least number of accidents. Most age group involved in this sort of accident was younger children.

The table illustrates that the highest number of accidents include younger children rather than older children. Age group between 2 and 7 represented about 66% out of total 370.

The loss of Emirati Identity

Egyptian, British, Italian, Emirati or any another nationality can lose some of their identity. Identity is culture and heritage for specific tribes or groups of people. This essay will be focused on the loss of Emirati identity. The following paragraphs will discuss the problems and solutions for Emirati identity.

There are some for going a little bit away from culture and their heritage. The first problem is that the world has become a small village. This trouble means that the Emirati has become affected by other people ideas or cultures. For example, the Internet is the best way to connect, communicate and share with other beliefs and ideas. However, it also influences us and our identity in a negative way. Junk food is a second issue. Cafeteria, restaurant or café are the first place for eating. National food is be less concerned of some people. This problem related to long hours of works now more than past. For example, I start my class in the college at 8:00 am until 3:00 pm. So, canteen is an only place to provide my body with food. Third difficulty is family. Parents have learned their children about UAE culture and heritage. For that children or young people don’t know enough information about their country. For instance, if family doesn’t talk about their journey in desert and sea they will not know about the origin of their country.

This paragraph will try to list some solution for these three troubles. Solution for first problem is so simple. Let young people to communicate more with people from their environment than computer people. This means that strengthen relationship ties with Emirati people will maintain Emirati identity. Finally, solution for junk food is to let people always think that fast food only let you still alive. The best is home food. Third solution is easy to solve. Spend some of an old people in the family to talk about the experience and provide their children information to enhance their identity.

To conclude, most Emirati people doesn’t lose their identity as same as people think. In my opinion, all nationality around world loses some of their identity. In contrast, I’m sure of that nobody loses all of his\her identity towards his\her country.
